Jeg starter denne spalten for ved eksempler å vise bruk av sammensatte tider på gresk. Da greske verb har 2 aspekter, paratatisk, kontinuerlig og aoristisk, avsluttet blir disse verbene lite kompatible med norsk. Når det gjelder de sammensatte tidene er det derfor ingen annen måte å forklare det på enn å vise det ved eksempler. Om du mestrer verbene på gresk er du på god vei til å kunne snakke språket. Fra BBC serie i engelskundervisning sakset jeg episoden CHRISTIE, ja det handler om det berømte auksjonsfirmaet, jeg skrev ned den engelske teksten og oversatte den til gresk da jeg fant ut at setningene som BBC brukte på engelsk egner seg like godt til å belyse problemet fra den greske siden.
Kondisjonalis 1. dannes på gresk som brukt i disse setningene dannes av partiklen ΘΑ samt παρατατικός av verbet, eks: θακληρονομούσα, eller αν om det dreier seg om en betingelse.
